Elite Judo Trisakti has been going for 5 years (Established 2005) and the club was run by Subhan Prasandra. We are a non-profit making club with over 70 members from Trisakti University Students and public school, male and female, ages of active players ranging from 5 to 40 also; we cater for all levels and interests. Over the years we have had one national Veterans champions, fourth Indonesia champions and many players who have represented Trisakti University in national and international events. We have one player with genuine chances of going to the 2011 Sea Games in Indonesia, one of whom recently won a Gold medal at the several national judo tournament and Trisakti Open Judo Championship. Amongst our less or non-competitive players, we have many who have achieved high qualifications in kata, coaching and technical judo. Many of our members start as university student and are still with us as they become alumnus. We also have many cases of families doing judo, brothers and sister. There is a strong camaraderie at the club which has created many strong friendships.
The club's coaching staff is extremely experienced and has expertise in all fields of judo. President and Head Coach Mr. Subhan Prasandra holds an honors teaching degree and has been a professional University Judo coach for over 6 years, he is a 2nd Dan, Junior coach award holder, Trisakti Open Judo competition controller award holder. Other coaches include Meirina Ulfah and Maulana Adriansyah, 1st Dan, Club Chair Ferry Edward, SH. MH. A Vice Dean also leads an experienced team of administrators at Faculty of Law in Trisakti University.
Our membership costs are free of charge with no other club costs involved. The club is entirely non-profit making and all income from Trisakti University goes towards covering costs. If you would like to start judo, you need just a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, we will lend you a jacket and belt. Beginners are always coached separately and carefully looked after by other club members. Alternatively, if you have done judo before, we will give you a gentle restart at your own pace. Visitors from other judo clubs are welcome, but we ask that you clear the visit with your own coach.
If you would like to find out more, come to the club whenever it is open (spectators welcome). Judogis can be purchased from the club. The typical price is between $40-$200, depending on the size and type.
